A little shape studio
PLACEHOLDER — activity draft pending review against final product labels. Not product instructions.
Choose activities/materials appropriate to your child, stay with them and follow product instructions and warnings. Don't encourage tasting. Stop if an activity isn't comfortable for the child. Product-specific guidance remains **PLACEHOLDER**; these ideas never replace it.
A circle can be a moon. A long shape can be a winding road. Start with one little shape and see where the story goes.
Before you begin
Use dough already prepared according to its instructions. If using a Doh Doh dry mix, prepare it first using confirmed product directions and adult-help guidance. This is a play idea, not a dough recipe. Choose a suitable clear work surface and follow age/safety guidance.
A shape, then a story
- Invite your child to press, roll or flatten prepared dough in a way they enjoy.
- Notice the shape together. “What does yours remind you of?”
- Add a story with words rather than extra small pieces or props. Is it a path, a cloud or something nobody has named yet?
- Let the answer change. There's no model to copy or finished result to get right.
Keep it open
Some children might want to watch first. Others may prefer describing shapes without touching. Follow their lead; participation doesn't have to look the same for everyone.
When you're finished
Follow the product's storage, cleaning and disposal instructions. PLACEHOLDER — approved guidance/link. Explore dry dough mixes
